Arts Grants
Approximately $220,000 is available to support small or medium sized arts organizations and collectives, as well as projects focused on the arts.

Community Grants
Approximately $700,000 is available to organizations that are focused on initiatives linked to improving social infrastructure. The Trinity United Church Legacy Fund is partnering with WRCF again in 2025 and is providing additional funding.

Racial Equity Grants
This funding will support organizations that are led-by and serve people across Waterloo Region who are Indigenous, Black, and people of colour. $300,000 will be distributed.

2024 charitable donations deadline extended to February 28, 2025
|
|
In case you missed it, the Government of Canada has announced their intention to extend the 2024 charitable donation deadline to February 28, 2025. This means that tax receipts for donations made between January 1, 2025 and February 28, 2025 may be eligible to be claimed as charitable tax credits on your 2024 Canadian income tax return.

HARVESTING CONNECTIONS: Gardening projects coincide with region’s growth spurt

Social infrastructure is WRCF’s strategic area of focus through 2027, coinciding at a time of unexpected growth and increased diversity in Waterloo Region. One example of social infrastructure is community gardening, which reinforces traits such as connection and collaboration for all ages and abilities in a safe and accessible setting. We've pulled together four examples of community gardens that have sprouted up in our region.
