PCL’s values include a Person-centered approach; Community Connection, Family Involvement, Excellence in leadership and staff and Partnerships.
Today we employ over 200 staff and provide support and services to over 160 children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities. We continue to fulfill our mission to offer meaningful services and supports for persons with exceptional needs in our community.
Services we Provide:
• Group living at eleven locations throughout the Waterloo Region
• Respite support for adults and children
• Supported independent living
• Skills development classes (day program, cooking classes and financial literacy classes with Kindred Credit Union)
We can and must do more..
The challenge facing our community is a long wait list for group living, day/employment supports and respite services in Waterloo Region. In Waterloo Region there are 526 adults in need of residential services, 573 adults waiting for employment and day support, 268 adults in need of respite services and over 765 children waiting for respite services. As a community of abundance, we all need to protect, support and empower those with disabilities.
We are seeking support from individuals and organizations in the community to meet this growing need. You can help us continue to fulfill our mission by giving a gift to the Parents for Community Living Robert Denomme Fund, which will be used to support capital expenditures or seed money for new programs or projects.
