Immigration Partnership Fund for Immigrant and Refugee Initiatives
The Immigration Partnership Fund for Immigrant and Refugee Initiatives is a legacy fund to carry forward the incredible generosity of residents who supported refugees arriving in Waterloo Region from Syria in 2015/16. It is a call to support organizations and initiatives that enable immigrants and refugees to reach their full potential and contribute to a thriving, prosperous community for everyone.
Immigrants and refugees move to Waterloo Region each day. Some arrive for economic reasons, pursuing the best work and education opportunities for their families. Others come to join family living in Canada, and some are refugees seeking safety from war and persecution in their home country. Moving around the world and starting a new life has challenges, regardless of which path led here.
This fund supports programs that help to ease those transitions to help immigrants and refugees get the best start to their new life in Waterloo Region.
Thank you so much for your donation and providing a warm welcome to newcomers. Your generosity is helping to build community and belonging through immigration
