WRCF’s Arts Grants Fund and Youth in Recreation Fund are open for applications!

Arts Grants Fund

The Arts Grants Fund was established in 2020, as a one-time initiative to assist small to medium sized arts organizations and collectives as they responded to the increased costs and/or revenue loss due to the pandemic. Waterloo Region Community Foundation (WRCF) continued to provide funding in 2021, and will do so again in 2022, through this arts-focused grants stream based on earlier indicators of the impact of this fund, the ongoing challenges that local arts organizations face, and overall needs of the sector.

Approximately $220,000 will be distributed through the fund in 2022, of which $15,000 of the granting dollars available will be allocated by the Arts Grants Committee to Pat the Dog Theatre Creation to be distributed as part of their Microgrant Program for individual artists across Waterloo Region. The Microgrant Program is in collaboration with the City of Waterloo that will grant $10,000 towards the 2022 Microgrants, ensuring a total allocation of $25,000 is available for the 2022 program from which Waterloo Region artists from all artistic disciplines may apply. Details are available here.

WRCF will accept applications for the Arts Grants Fund between August 8 and September 22, 2022. Visit wrcf.ca/artsgrants for eligibility and application details.
