WRCF has three funding streams currently accepting applications. Click the links below for more information on eligibility requirements and how to apply:

Racial Equity Fund
This funding will support organizations that are led-by and serve people across Waterloo Region who are Indigenous, Black and people of colour. $300,000 will be distributed.
Deadline: September 4, 2023

|
Youth in Recreation Fund
$90,000 will be granted to organizations that encourage broad participation in healthy and safe community recreation activities for children and youth in Waterloo Region. Community recreation includes sport, fitness, youth leadership, camping/outdoor education, the arts and cultural activities.
Deadline: September 17, 2023

|
|
Arts Grants Fund
$250,000 will be provided to emerging, small or medium sized arts organizations or collectives, that are located in Waterloo Region, and provide services and/or programming to people in Waterloo Region.
Deadline: September 24, 2023

As a community-building organization, WRCF relies on the leadership of our Board of Directors to support our vision of creating Sustainable, Equitable, Thriving Communities. We are pleased to announce our new Board Chair, Vice Chair, and newest members of our Board of Directors.

WRCF will be hosting two Do More Good Dialogue events in the Fall. The 2023 Vital Signs report will be launched with an online webinar on October 19, 2023 between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. We will also be hosting an in-person event focused on local issues on Thursday, November 16, 2023 between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Longtime Cambridge resident, Terry Kratz set up a Donor Advised Fund with WRCF in 2008. He is also making a gift to his fund as part of his will – an example of how wills aren’t just legal ways to distribute personal assets but can also be powerful tools to shape a community.
