Arts Grants Fund
This fund is accepting applications for two grant streams in 2024; one for Organizations, and one for Individual Artists & Collectives. Approximately $580,000 is available, including $330,000 in funding from the Region of Waterloo.

Ontario Endowment for Children and Youth in Recreation Fund
$90,000 will be granted to organizations that encourage broad participation in healthy and safe community recreation activities for children and youth in Waterloo Region. Community recreation includes sport, fitness, youth leadership, camping/outdoor education, the arts and cultural activities.
Applications close: September 16, 2024

1,300 people, 54 discussions – LOTS of connections and conversations happened at the 2024 On the Table led by WRCF

Over the weekend of June 7-9, 2024, WRCF organized On the Table to encourage community members across our region to participate in hosted discussions. Using feedback from the conversations, we created an On the Table Report, to provide a snapshot of what’s on people’s minds about what’s happening in Waterloo Region right now.

SLAM DUNK: Cambridge community group puts ‘bounce’ in youths’ step with basketball mentorship program
|
|
About The Bounce is a youth basketball program by Preston Heights Community Group where participants are able to enhance their athletic abilities while gaining experiences that contribute to their overall growth. The program focuses on teaching important life skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, and resilience through structured activities and mentorship.

Monday, September 30, 2024 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this date, people across Canada take the time to reflect, remember, and honour those impacted by Canada’s residential school system – the children who never returned home, their families and their communities. Below are some activities happening in our community, and we encourage you to keep an eye out for more events linked to National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and participate if possible.
