He also highlights intentional community-building and the need for people that step forward to organize events, make trusted connections, and play a large part in creating a vibrant social fabric.

Applications now open!

WRCF has three funding streams currently accepting applications. Click the links below for more information on eligibility requirements and how to apply:

Arts Grants Fund
This fund is accepting applications for two grant streams in 2024; one for Organizations, and one for Individual Artists & Collectives. Approximately $580,000 is available, including $330,000 in funding from the Region of Waterloo.

Diverse group of friends
Racial Equity Fund
This funding will support organizations that are led-by and serve people across Waterloo Region who are Indigenous, Black, and people of colour. $300,000 will be distributed.

Ontario Endowment for Children and Youth in Recreation Fund
$90,000 will be granted to organizations that encourage broad participation in healthy and safe community recreation activities for children and youth in Waterloo Region. Community recreation includes sport, fitness, youth leadership, camping/outdoor education, the arts and cultural activities.

Community Services Recovery Fund paves path forward for Interfaith Counselling Centre

Thanks to financial help through the Community Services Recovery Fund, Interfaith Counselling Centre created an Awareness and Engagement Project, which aims to grow their donor network, build capacity, and destigmatize counselling.

WRCF fund honours spirit of Waterloo South Asian community ‘pioneer’ Laxmi Kesavan

Laxmi Kesavan dedicated her life to helping others. When she passed away in 2022, her family established the Laxmi Kesavan Memorial Fund at WRCF to ensure her legacy of giving back will live on.
