Exploring, Learning, and Investing in Social Infrastructure

Approximately $124,000 will be distributed across Waterloo Region to provide grants to initiatives that support making the arts more central and meaningful in people’s lives.

Approximately $650,000 is available to organizations that are focused on initiatives linked to improving social infrastructure. The Trinity United Church Legacy Fund is partnering with WRCF again in 2024 and is providing additional funding.

Waterloo Region International Plowing Match 1995 and 2012 Fund
|
|
Approximately $22,000 will be distributed to organizations whose services focus on agriculture, health and/or education and benefit the citizens of Waterloo Region.

|
|
Approximately $20,000 will be distributed to enhance the quality of life for children and youth who reside in Woolwich.

The Essentials Fund 2024 Campaign (March 20-April 30)
|
|
The Essentials Fund kicks off its third annual fundraising campaign today, the first day of spring! This fund collects monetary donations to provide local non-profit organizations with an unrestricted grant to purchase essential items (i.e. hygiene items, bus tickets, seasonal clothing, backpacks, etc.) for their clients whenever needed. Donors receive a tax receipt from WRCF for all eligible donations, as well as updates from The Essentials Fund, including information about this year’s distribution of grants and a year-end report on the impact of their donation.
